News of death of mygazines.com pirate site turns out to have been exaggerated

It would seem that, far from being crushed by the response of big magazine publishers, the pirate digital file-sharing company mygazines.com was simply lying doggo while it figured out how to come back to life. A posting by Dylan Stableford on Folio: says that he got a message from Pierre Bisaillon saying that he is the new director of corporate and business development at mygazines.

As many of you will recall, in the summer there was a flurry of activity prompted by the sudden start of the service, posting whole current and recent issues of magazines in digital form without so much as a by-your-leave from the publishers of those magazines, including a number of prominent Canadian titles such as Cottage Life and Canadian House & Home. Lawsuits ensued.
