Everybody on the Hill is mad at Maclean's

Selling hot off the newsstand, and now this: An all-party resolution is a-brewing in the House of Commons, denouncing Maclean's for its cover story designating Quebec as the most corrupt province in the country. If it materializes, according to a post by David Aikin, national bureau chief for Sun Media, it will be tabled by Bloc Quebecois MP Pierre Paquette.

OMG: who cares?! Glad to see my tax dollars are being put to good use. Macleans is going for Fox-style hyperbole --it's certainly a good attention ploy --and in typical fashion our busy, busy, busy pols took the bait. If only our beleagured small business people, hospital workers, unemployed, soldiers and others awaiting resolutions on clear actual issues were so lucky...
