Best Health magazine says it is the first to feature a quick response code on cover

Best Health magazine says that it is the first Canadian magazine [see comments] to feature a QR (Quick Responses) code on its cover. The March/April issue allows readers to a) download an app with their  smartphones then aim their phones at the upper right hand corner of the cover and get a behind-the-scenes video of the cover shoot with eTalk anchor Tanya Kim. She demonstrates Pilates moves.
Readers can also see the video by going to the magazine's website.

That is not correct. Boards magazine did a QR code cover in which the entire cover could be read by a scanner as a QR code. Ditto for Strategy magazine

Canadian Retailer did one last Fall as well. Great stuff though! Best Health might be the first mainstream publication to do so.

Just to add another mag to the QR-user list, Mechanical Business Magazine introduced the codes to its readers last year, and started using one on the cover last fall as well.

I saw this magazine at Loblaws, I think it was called VIVA magazine back in like July of last year and it had a QR Code on it, it is a women's health magazine.

Several Canadian magazines have included QR tags on the cover. One would think they would be required to verify these things beforehand .... guess not. So much for professionalism!
